Budget Management in Education and Evaluation of Turkey's Education Budget
Abstract
Purpose – In this study, budget management in education and Turkey's education budget were tried to be evaluated. As a result of the study, it is seen that Turkey's education budget ranks second among other budget items.
Design/methodology/approach – The analysis of the data gleaned from the literature review was looked at in the study of the relevant data and it was studied to reach the evaluation, the result, and the suggestions based on the compilation.
Findings – Education is an extremely important issue for the future of a country. The size of the budget allocated to education from the general budget in national economies is related to the quality of education. When the budget figures allocated to the ministries in 2022 are examined, it is seen that the second highest budget is allocated to the Ministry of National Education.
Originality/value – This study is important in terms of knowing the budget allocated to the Ministry of National Education in the central budget, since the education system is the source of human power and the driving force of economic development in our country as well as in the whole world.
