The Views of Pre-Service Science Teachers about the Use of Web 2.0 Tools in Teaching
Abstract
Purpose – The aim of this study is to determine the views of pre-service science teachers about the use of WEB 2.0 tools in teaching in terms of various variables.
Design/methodology/approach – The research model is a descriptive survey model which is one of the quantitative research models. For this purpose, a questionnaire consisting of three parts was used to determine the views of pre-service science teachers about the use of WEB 2.0 tools in teaching environments. The questionnaire form was applied to the 140 pre-service science teachers of science, physics, chemistry and biology departments of Education Faculty in a state university.
Findings – It was determined that the opinions of preservice science teachers about using WEB 2.0 in teaching environments were positive and high level.
Originality/value – As a result, it was determined that pre-service science teachers had positive thoughts about the use of WEB 2.0 technologies in teaching and they thought of using WEB 2.0 technologies in their professional life in the classroom.
